Serving the People of Illinois with Integrity and Fairness
Equal justice under law.
This principle stands at the heart of our judicial system. It is a promise that every person—no matter their background, status, or circumstance—will be treated with fairness, dignity, and impartiality in the eyes of the law. Judge John Carroll Jr. upholds this ideal in every decision, working to ensure that the courtroom remains a place where truth is valued, rights are protected, and justice is applied without prejudice.
Family First
Beyond the courtroom, Judge John Carroll Jr. is a devoted family man. He and his wife make their home in Riverside, where they are raising their two children. His commitment to family shapes the values he brings to the bench—patience, empathy, and respect for others.
Attorney General Raoul congratulates Judge Carroll on his appointment.
