Currently serving in the Domestic Violence Courthouse at 555 W. Harrison.
Appointed to the Circuit Court of Cook County by unanimous vote of the Illinois Supreme Court.

Rated Highly Qualified by the Illinois State Bar Association. Received positive ratings from every reviewing bar association.

Served for 6 years as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Illinois Attorney General. Prior to that, Judge Carroll was a 19-year veteran of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, the second-largest prosecutor’s office in the nation. His assignments included:

• Trial Specialist in the elite Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, focusing on highly complex, technology-facilitated sex crimes against children

• Trial Supervisor – Felony Review

• Special Prosecutions – Narcotics
